Dervan Youth Games 2019

On the occasion of Shiv Jayanti SVJCT’s Sports Academy organizes Dervan Youth Games. This was the 5th successive year of the tournament. This year’s event was inaugurated with the hands of Hon. Tejaswini Sawant (Arjun Awardee shooting) and Hon. Pooja Sahastrabuddhe (Shiv Chatrapati Awardee – Table Tennis) along with international badminton players Hon. Manik Paranjape and Kanchan Sane.

This tournament held within 16th to 23rd March 2019 with 18 disciplines for girls and Boys. India’s first complete indoor stadium for Kabaddi, Kho-kho and Langdi was the biggest attraction of the event. More over to games, we conducted guidance sessions every evening for sports awareness called as “Krida Prerana Vyaspeeth”. There was ‘Olympic exhibition’ demonstrating all the types of Olympics.

4088 participants honored the event this year. We distributed attractive medals trophies and cash prizes for the winners.

For the closing ceremony, we were blessed to have Olympian Hon. Adille Sumariwala, President of Athletics Federation of India.
